New Build Reproduction 14 ft Riva Scoiattolo (Squirrel)
Combining the masterful design and engineering work of Ing. Carlo Riva and the fastidious craftsmanship of CF Boatworks, we are proud to present this modern “antique” outboard motorboat.
Cantieri Riva produced some 137 of the Scoiattolo model from 1951-1957, and from 1953 onward they were powered exclusively with 25hp Evinrude outboard motors. Carlo Riva’s hull design gives the Scoiattolo a very smooth and comfortable ride at any speed.
Starting with Ing. Riva’s original drawings from 1953, using only handpicked mahogany and adding correct Riva hardware, the end result is a stunning little jewel. Sipo mahogany is used for structure and furniture, Sapele that is re-sawn to make the hull sides and covering boards mirror images port & starboard, and Khaya with maple seams for the decks.
This boat is constructed using modern technology and materials, and in accordance with US Coast Guard standards, while retaining the Riva philosophy of the highest quality and functionality.
The open cockpit has seating is for 4 people, and the front seatback folds down to provide a sun bathing platform. The new owner gets to choose the color of seating / sun deck cushions.
Given it’s size and capabilities, this Scoiattolo makes a great yacht tender or a fun general family runabout/ski boat. Further, it is quite easily trailered and stored.
The boat is ready for immediate delivery.
